Background: This provides a quick resume of a selection of aspects of my life - mostly with an academic/educational emphasis.

Research: This lists my key areas of research interest and activity and provides links to further information about some aspects of these. It also provides links to information about my research publications, grants, etc.

Teaching: This lists the main areas of my teaching whilst I have been at the Open University (OU). It provides links to further information on some aspects of these as well as links to information about my 'teaching' publications (which includes software that I have been involved in developing).

Administration: You guessed it - this includes details of key administrative roles that I have (or am still) involved in - again focussed primarily on my time at the OU.

Other Activities: This includes other work related activities that do not fit under the headings Research, Teaching or Administration! These include external examining, reviewing, membership of organisations and the like.

Publications: This provides access to information about my publications. Publications is used here in the broadest sense of the term - it includes papers, book chapters, software, grants, conference presentations, etc.
